Electrical Engineer Opportunity


We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with expertise in hazardous area equipment and instrumentation to join our team.


The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and EEHA Competency, as well as significant experience in control and instrumentation systems associated with chemical process plants, power stations, or mining.

About the Role


  • Execute or coordinate minor engineering changes to instrumentation systems.
  • Develop procedures to ensure safe work practices and maximize operational performance.
  • Analyse instrumentation system performance in operational areas.
  • Finding solutions to instrumentation engineering problems.
  • Ensure adequate resources are available to respond rapidly to foreseeable instrumentation availability issues.
  • Manage Hazardous Area processes on site according to the Murrin Murrin Hazardous Area Management Plan.
  • Plan, perform, and document periodic inspections and testing of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
  • Maintain and manage the Hazardous Area Verification Dossier in accordance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

Your Background


  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and EEHA Competency (Design & Maintenance) to AS/NZS 4761.1/2 or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in control and instrumentation systems associated with chemical process plants, power stations, or mining.
  • Applicants should be members of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, or be eligible to obtain full membership.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in hazardous area electrical engineering within mining, oil & gas, or industrial environments.
