Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Community Support Worker to join our Tweed Heads Hub team. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of people with disability while being part of a fun and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Community Support Worker, your primary duties will include:

  • Supporting clients to live actively and participate in their local community through person-centred programs
  • Implementing behaviour support plans using positive strategies
  • Assisting with personal and hygiene care
  • Maintaining progress notes and record-keeping
  • Communicating effectively with families and caregivers to provide regular updates on client progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience working in the Disability sector, preferably managing behaviours
  • Demonstrated experience in personal care, medication administration, and supporting high-needs clients
  • Personal qualities such as resilience, empathy, and self-confidence
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty, and respect
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 AUD. Sunnyfield Disability Services offers a range of benefits, including:
