The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, rolling out and refining comprehensive learning pathways for all staff, from new graduates and postgraduate students to undergraduate nursing placements and new employees.
As an Educational Champion, you will offer expert leadership, mentorship and support to our team of Clinical Nurse Educators, fostering continuous professional growth.
Academic collaboration is a key aspect of this role, with opportunities to partner with tertiary institutions and specialty Nurse Educators to co-create, launch and assess postgraduate nursing courses.
The Strategic Planner will lead the planning and deployment of targeted educational strategies for the Ward/Unit/Service nursing workforce, ensuring alignment with district-wide excellence standards.
Ongoing support and development are crucial in this role, with direct backing by the John Hunter Hospital Executive Team and tailored professional development available.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive learning pathways for all staff.
- Provide expert leadership, mentorship and support to Clinical Nurse Educators.
- Partner with tertiary institutions and specialty Nurse Educators to develop and assess postgraduate nursing courses.
- Lead the planning and deployment of targeted educational strategies for the Ward/Unit/Service nursing workforce.
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Post-registration nursing/midwifery clinical or education qualifications relevant to the clinical area.
- Demonstrated experience in a management role.
