Industrial Relations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Relations Manager to join our team. As an Industrial Relations Manager, you will be responsible for managing labor relations, union engagement, and ensuring industrial harmony across our workforce.

This role is perfect for someone who has experience handling union negotiations, grievance procedures, and labor contractor management. You will have the opportunity to work in a high-pressure site environment with diverse workforce dynamics and develop and implement site-specific IR strategies to support project objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field, as well as 8+ years of ER / IR experience in large-scale EPC or heavy industrial / construction projects. You must also have in-depth knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations frameworks, and employment regulations in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement site-specific IR strategies to support project objectives
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with unions, worker representatives, and labor contractors
  • Negotiate and manage collective bargaining agreements (if applicable)
  • Monitor compliance with labour laws, union agreements, wage regulations, and working conditions
  • Lead resolution of industrial disputes, strikes, grievances, and disciplinary actions with minimal project disruption
