In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of trust accounting, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial transactions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing general accounts, including processing invoices for lessors.
  • Receiving daily rental payments and issuing receipts for all rental income across the portfolio.
  • Conducting daily bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Completing mid and end-of-month transaction processes in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinating the disbursement of creditor payments in line with established terms.
  • Collaborating with Property Managers to ensure adequate funds are available for owner invoices.
  • Handling tenancy bonds, including the collection of bond forms and fund disbursement to the relevant authorities.
  • Preparing trust account documentation, including bank statements, in readiness for audits.
  • Maintaining organized trust account audit reports and records for easy access.
  • Overseeing the tenant banklink register to ensure accurate rent payment allocations.
  • Managing ownership changes in property management software, including settlement rent disbursements.
  • Ensuring all transactions in and out of the trust account have the necessary approvals.
  • Lodging all balances and unidentified deposits with the public trustee as required.

This role demands a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who can take charge of trust operations and maintain seamless communication across departments.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a similar position within the real estate industry.
  • A valid Real Estate or Sales License in Queensland.
  • Property management experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Your confident and approachable communication style will be essential in this role, as you will interact regularly with various stakeholders.
