System Integration Specialist

The role of a System Integration Specialist is to design and implement systems that meet the needs of the business. This involves working with various stakeholders, including Solution Architects and Product Managers, to ensure that all developments are designed in accordance with the functional and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design reliable and scalable solutions to fit into the Store systems ecosystem that aligns with the broader in-store roadmap /strategy.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Product Managers by taking responsibility for the detailed designs of critical components of the system and integration functions.
  • Evaluate risks to the integrity of solutions including availability, performance, servicing, and compliance.
  • Be a recognised Subject Matter Expert for the system and the integration components
  • Manage the creation of solution designs for critical components of business solutions, and communicate solution design to relevant stakeholders including external vendors.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders (including solution architects, product managers and vendors) to produce solution design options, including effort estimates.
  • Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major design options and assess and manage associated risks
  • To ensure we have robust and up-to-date design documentation for critical components of systems and integration Provide 3rd level support and guidance for critical ongoing problems or incidents

Requirements:

  • Strong relevant development experience with some experience in technical design
  • Understanding of relevant SDLC methodologies (DevOps, Agile, etc)
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and an understanding of cloud integration patterns.
  • Proven ability as an SME to guide and mentor team members and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate superior problem-solving skills by facilitating sessions on complex issuesStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to credibly communicate, negotiate and influence strategic outcomes at all organisational levels
