Job Description

The position of EL 1 ILS Manager - Sustainment requires a high level of expertise in materiel logistics. The individual will be accountable for performing and achieving complex to very complex work within an integrated workforce.

They will require an in-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence's mission and policy requirements.

This role is responsible for the supply system supporting the acquisition, introduction-into-service, and sustainment of the AH-64E Apache helicopter program.

Specific areas of responsibility include:

  • Leadership and management of an integrated team of APS, Industry, and ADF logistics practitioners.
  • Reception, cataloguing, and codification of AH-64E Apache spares and support equipment.
  • Oversight and governance of procurement, reception, and in-lay of Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POL), consumables, and other support equipment.
  • Stakeholder engagement and negotiation with Project Manager, Product Manager, Industry partners, and operating units.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have leadership and management skills to unite, motivate, and achieve outcomes from a team supporting acquisition and sustainment.

They will also have a grounding in Defence logistics policies, processes, and systems, and the ability to apply this to the emerging Apache program.

Problem-solving skills and motivation to establish a complex supply system are also essential.
