Job Overview:
The Executive Director will lead a national regulatory agency in shaping professional standards and consumer protection.
- Drive strategic reform, leading cultural transformation, and ensuring regulatory excellence.
- Work closely with boards, ministers, and industry leaders to advance professional regulation and protect consumers of professional services.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Strategic Leadership: Set direction and deliver on legislative and regulatory mandates.
- Governance & Boards: Report to and advise boards and ministers across jurisdictions.
- Cultural Uplift: Lead transformation and build a high-performing, values-driven team.
- Legal & Regulatory Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of professional standards legislation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Influence policy and build partnerships across government and industry.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a senior executive with legal qualifications (or comparable qualification and experience), regulatory experience, and a strong track record in hands-on governance and cultural reform. The ideal candidate brings clarity, credibility, and collaboration to complex environments.
