We are seeking a highly motivated and friendly Sales Assistant to work on a casual basis in our Gladstone store. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing outstanding service to our valued clients.



Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every interaction meets the highest standards of quality and care.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management at all levels.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, enabling informed recommendations and suggestions to customers.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store.
  • Be proactive in maintaining a clean and organized store environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with visual merchandising and stock replenishment tasks, ensuring displays are visually appealing and meet company standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, driving personal and professional growth.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, upholding the values and mission of Petbarn.


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • A real passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Basic math skills, including handling cash transactions and processing payments.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant retail or hospitality experience an advantage.


What We Offer
