Operational Director - Electrical Solutions

The role of Operational Director – Electrical Solutions encompasses overseeing daily operations across Maintenance and Project divisions, thereby driving operational consistency, system improvements, and financial outcomes.

This pivotal position will act as the link between management and the field workforce, optimising workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficient performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of daily operations across Maintenance and Project divisions.
  • Optimisation of workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Implementation and improvement of operational systems, safety protocols, and reporting processes.
  • Monitoring efficiency, workflows, and safety standards to ensure consistent high performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards and company procedures.
  • Acting as the escalation point for operational challenges, ensuring quick resolution within the business.
  • Acting as the primary operational contact for both new and existing clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that support business scalability.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Proven operational management experience in electrical contracting, construction, or related trades.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, labour productivity, and job costing.
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills with a process-driven mindset.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercially astute and able to translate operational data into business outcomes.
  • Proven track record of scaling businesses through improved systems, processes, and team performance.
  • Strong commitment to safety, with experience embedding a positive safety culture across teams.
