Job Title: Procurement Specialist - Logistics

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist - Logistics to join our team at Kimberly-Clark Corporation. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of logistics and supply chain services, ensuring that we achieve our business objectives while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category management strategies for logistics and supply chain services, aligning with regional and global procurement plans.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regional logistics leaders, ANZ business, and supply chain leadership.
  • Conduct market analysis and provide insights on supply base, market trends, and emerging opportunities to drive incremental value.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to align with country requirements, regional, and global strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader procurement network to develop and roll-out procurement initiatives, including sharing and reapplying best practices.
  • Support the annual procurement planning process and lead or support strategy execution via RFP or supplier negotiation.
  • Responsible for operational issues escalation and approval of purchase requisitions.
  • Conduct sourcing activities, including RFPs, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Lead supplier consolidation to streamline vendor base in line with logistics strategy.
  • Own contract process, including review, approval, and sign-off.
  • Sourcing for alternatives to support innovation, cost initiatives, and risk mitigation.
  • Implement and deliver procurement targets for the assigned category.
  • Balance cost and quality factors in all supplier engagement, leveraging regional and global category expertise.
  • Establish solid KPIs to track supplier performance in conjunction with stakeholders.
  • Lead supplier selection process with best-in-class tools and frameworks.
  • Adopt KC-approved master agreements for all supplier engagements.
  • Implement global and local procurement principles and standardized procurement processes and systems.
  • Develop supplier evaluation and audit frameworks in collaboration with regional and global category teams.
  • Lead supplier development activities, set up cross-functional reviews to improve performance and drive value creation.
  • Proactively identify supply continuity risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Lead supplier evaluation for key suppliers.
  • Identify external forums and resources for logistics teams to increase market knowledge.
  • Continuously evaluate the supply market to ensure the latest information is available, performing market analysis in close cooperation with other departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Logistics procurement experience in FMCG industry and/or 3PL environment.
  • Advanced negotiation and sourcing strategy development skills.
  • Good project management and communication skills in English.
  • Good understanding of financial metrics (i.e., working capital, cost avoidance, NSV, DPO, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Excel, PPT, and WORD).

Desirable:

  • SAP/Coupa knowledge and experience is beneficial.
