Qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience in creating a data governance roadmap within a complex organisation operating in multiple regions
  • Expert knowledge of privacy laws spanning Australia & New Zealand
  • Skilled at applying data governance in technology strategies, including artificial intelligence and cloud platforms
  • Strong capability in managing the data journey end-to-end, from collection through to minimisation and secure disposal
  • Proven track record in designing and sustaining data frameworks that reflect best practice
  • Confident project leader with the ability to engage stakeholders and communicate clearly at all levels
  • Background in Legal, Audit, or Risk functions highly regarded
  • Recognised for integrity, independence, and sound judgement when navigating sensitive compliance issues
