About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Freight Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics services.

  • You will be responsible for coordinating import and export shipments, including warehouse arrivals, unloads, groupage departures, LCL collections, and delivery airfreight collections and delivery, as well as completing WA quarantine forms.
  • Schedule the daily movements of wharf and rail contractors to optimize our operational efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by attending to operational enquiries over the phone, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Logistics and cost management of domestic and international containers, ensuring accurate records and timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage container movements into and out of the branch, maintaining accurate inventory and facilitating seamless transportation.
  • Conduct thorough container audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Offer administrative, operational, and general assistance to the Operations Team where required, providing support to achieve shared goals.
  • Perform regular licence and vehicle compliance checks to guarantee adherence to industry standards.

What You'll Need

  • Proven organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise with people at all levels of the business, including sales, administration, and operational teams, both internal and external.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) to maintain accurate records and perform data analysis.
  • A commitment to outstanding customer service, focusing on delivering exceptional results that meet and exceed expectations.
  • General freight, rail, and wharf background preferable but not essential.
