We are seeking an experienced and qualified professional to join our team as an Engineer - Renewables at the Rottnest Island Authority. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large-scale upgrade of our power generation infrastructure and electrical distribution network, targeting renewable penetration of up to 75%.

About the Role

As an Engineer - Renewables, you will provide engineering and project management support through the design and construct phase through to ongoing operations and maintenance of the installed assets. You will work closely with our team to ensure the successful delivery of this project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise in electrical power systems, components, and industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • High level of problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
