Family Support Service Practitioner

The Family Support Services is a collaborative effort between Mac Killop and Danila Dilba Health Services, funded by Territory Families, Housing and Communities. Our team coordinates an effective service system response to high and complex needs, and trauma. We engage with the broader service system to ensure quality of services, efficiency, and prevent unnecessary statutory intervention.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate an effective service system response to high and complex needs, and trauma.
- Engage with the broader service system to ensure quality of services, efficiency, and prevent unnecessary statutory intervention.
- Develop and implement pragmatic family therapies.
- Conduct risk and social skills assessments and interventions.
- Bachelor's degree with specialisation in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, or a related subject area.
- Significant work experience in a relevant field supporting an understanding of key child development issues.
- Awareness and knowledge of attachment and trauma theories related to Aboriginal children, young people, and families.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise work, meet deadlines and key deliverables.
