Oncology Nurse Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Oncology ward on a full-time basis. As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
- Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members to deliver patient care
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Working with Children Check
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing)
- Demonstrated experience administering infusions
- 2+ years Oncology experience (desirable)
- Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
- Antineoplastic Drug Administration qualification (desirable, onsite ADAC training and education available to suitable applicants)
