Mobility Specialist for Northern Adelaide

SA Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Prosthetist and Orthotist to join our dedicated team at the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network.
About the Role:This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a passionate, highly driven, dedicated and progressive team. As a Prosthetist and Orthotist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to patients who require prosthetic and orthotic services.
- You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing customised treatment plans, and providing ongoing follow-up care to ensure optimal outcomes.
The Orthotics and Prosthetics team is co-located with the Podiatry team within the Specialist Ambulatory Rehabilitation Centre adjacent to Modbury Hospital. The space is equipped with a large and newly refurbished workshop with the ability to manufacture custom-made devices.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, sharing knowledge and contributing to the continuous improvement of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Designing, fabricating, and fitting custom-made devices
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing customised treatment plans
- Providing ongoing follow-up care to ensure optimal outcomes
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Orthotics and Prosthetics
- Strong communication skills and empathetic approach
