We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our engineering and maintenance team in Cairns, Australia.

About the Role:

As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet and marine infrastructure. Your work will support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial passenger vessels
  • Diagnose and repair faults in vessel systems
  • Perform high-quality work efficiently and safely
  • Work collaboratively with a team of tradespeople, technical staff, and vessel crew
  • Assist with broader maintenance activities beyond your primary trade as required
About You:
  • Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III or higher)
  • Proven experience in your trade, preferably within the marine, defence, or heavy transport industries
  • Ability to assess a job, develop a plan, and execute it independently
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
  • A strong team mindset, but equally confident working unsupervised
  • Flexibility to assist with tasks outside your direct trade when required
  • A safety-first approach with knowledge of WHS practices
  • Punctuality, reliability, and professionalism at all times
  • Previous marine industry experience (highly desirable)
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications
  • Relevant maritime qualifications or willingness to obtain
  • Eligible to work in Queensland, Australia
