About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Planner to join our team at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. As an Inventory Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of spare parts inventory across our Australian controlled stockrooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the fulfillment of parts inventory in stockrooms, ensuring timely delivery and minimal logistic costs.
  • Provide operational performance reporting to the Business, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Support the flow of Sandvik products to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, with a focus on EHS compliance.
  • Improve customer experience and availability of parts in stockrooms.
  • Responsible for sales stock, goods in transit, production stock, and obsolescence reserve in stockrooms.
  • Analyze and maintain inventory parameters for standard assortment in stockrooms.
  • Coordinate with warehouse managers to drive improvement activities related to inventory control.
  • Drive stock optimization initiatives, including returns processes.
  • Participate in regional and global initiatives as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience in Inventory Planning and Inventory Management, with people management responsibilities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Inventory management/planning would be an advantage.
  • Exposure to the supply of spare parts to the mining or automotive industry would be beneficial.
  • Computer literacy, with the ability to plan, develop, and implement effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and business management tools, including Voyager and Systems 21.
  • SAP S4 Hana experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on achieving set goals and targets.
  • Strong team or relationship management experience.
