As a Program Manager at Melbourne Airport, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence in infrastructure upgrades. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our airfield capital projects, including civil and pavement works, repairs, surveying, and design management.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Development: Develop and refine clear project briefs in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met and redesign is minimised.
- Design Management: Oversee the project design team to ensure compliance with APAM standards and maintain a strong focus on enhancing customer experience in all passenger-facing designs.
- Innovation and Efficiency: Integrate innovative solutions, such as off-site manufacturing, to provide additional benefits and efficiencies where appropriate.
- Stakeholder Management: Actively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and communication.
- Financial Management: Lead the creation of accurate project budgets and implement strategic procurement approaches that drive value while managing risks and commercial terms effectively.
- Cost Control: Maintain a proactive approach to cost control and financial management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Safety and Quality: Ensure a strong emphasis on safety with a goal of zero incidents, while guiding project teams to meet key milestones and deliver high-quality outcomes on schedule.
- Tertiary qualified with experience in engineering, planning, development, and delivery of projects in the Aviation/Built Environment, or related experience within this field.
- Previous Project Management/Project Delivery Experience through all stages of the Project Lifecycle.
- End-to-end experience in leading built environment capital projects in a 24/7 complex operational environment.
- Experienced in leading multiple sub-programs or projects concurrently to meet agreed timelines.
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary design teams through the project lifecycle.
- Strong financial management and commercial acumen.
- Experience in construction procurement methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills to be able to communicate at all levels internally and externally.
- Experience in anticipating problems and proactively mitigating potential issues.
- The ability to tailor communication methods and practices to the relevant stakeholder audience.
- Proven ability to influence third parties (internally and externally) in a high-pressure environment.
