Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing the performance of various equipment.
  • Reviewing designs and finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Installing, testing, servicing, repairing, and modifying electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic machinery. Occasionally, may work with other equipment such as hydraulic hoses and small diesel engines.
  • Performing pre-delivery inspections and evaluating machines to confirm they are operational.
  • Executing repairs and maintenance on both customer-owned and JLG-owned equipment, including MEWPs, Lighting Towers, and Telehandlers.
  • Supporting the training and oversight of apprentices.
  • Adhering to specific site instructions, including Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Keeping a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools are maintained in good condition.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork and inspection forms as per ANZ Standards and site requirements.
  • Conducting quarterly and annual inspections of MEWPs in line with JLG and ANZ industry standards.
  • Participating in pre-start meetings and toolbox discussions.
  • Maintaining personal labor utilization rates in accordance with targets.
  • Generating leads for sales and service when possible and collaborating with team members.
  • Performing general ad-hoc duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant experience in a similar position, with a background in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems being advantageous.
  • Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Language, Literacy, and Numeracy, including the ability to document job notes, interpret safety information, and understand machine manuals and basic numeracy.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
