About the Role

The Department of Treasury & Finance TAS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our team as Assistant Director, Contracts and Assessment. This is a key leadership role that will contribute to the achievement of Branch and Treasury objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic advice to Ministers, agencies, and other stakeholders on whole of Government contracts, fleet vehicles, assessment matters, and other areas of Branch responsibility.
  • Project Management: Lead Branch projects to improve Government purchasing outcomes and procurement framework requirements.
  • Contract Management: Identify strategic issues and make recommendations regarding potential improvements in relation to a range of areas of Branch focus, including whole of Government contracts, fleet vehicle arrangements, or prequalification and Technology Services List assessments.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who possesses strong leadership abilities, a demonstrated ability to deliver on outputs, and exercise sound judgement when seeking to resolve complex issues. You will have the ability to direct resources to complete competing tasks, define and develop recommendations on policy issues, clearly communicate technical matters to stakeholders, and demonstrate strategic leadership in a positive team environment.
