About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of a comprehensive youth road safety program for secondary education in Tasmania.

This is a 3-year contract position, funded by the Tasmanian State Government, and will involve working with key experts to inform and support the program's design and measurement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an $8M budget, including reporting, to meet project and grant obligations.
  • Lead and manage the delivery of a high-impact program to inspire and motivate young Tasmanians to develop attitudes and skills for safer road use.
  • Engage and support key experts to inform and support the design and measurement of the program.
  • Facilitate regular Steering Committee meetings and communicate clear progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage vendors as required.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience and project management expertise in large projects, with relevant budget management skills.
  • Highly developed stakeholder relationship management abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the community, educational professionals, research academics, and representatives across government and industry.
  • Procurement and contract management skills.
  • Solid familiarity with the varied Tasmanian community landscapes.
