The Flavour Gallery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join their team in a busy kitchen.

Key requirements for this role include;

Qualifications:

  • Australian trade qualified Certificate 3, 4 in cookery and Diploma or higher in supervisory and managing a busy kitchen.

Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years full time local Australian experience as a Chef is required.
  • Experience in Italian Cuisine is necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to prepare all dishes displayed on menu as well as wide ranging specials from different cuisines.
  • Experience in catering for functions will be an advantage.
  • Experience in planning menus, developing recipes, preparing, cooking and maintaining food quality.
  • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
  • Instruct cooks and other kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
  • Select and train kitchen staff as and when required.
  • Ability to maintain a clean kitchen and use kitchen appliances and equipment safely.
  • Ability to maintain a COVID safe workplace.
