Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the heart of a busy kitchen environment. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing patient food trays and beverages, and assisting with food preparation as directed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patient food trays and beverages, and assist with food preparation as directed by the Manager and chef.
  • Prepare special dietary meals for patients as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness within the department in line with food safety, infection control, and hospital standards.
  • Provide high standards of quality and service to patients and customers; work as part of a positive team under supervision.
Requirements:
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively; able to work independently or in a team as required.
  • Previous experience as a kitchen assistant; knowledge of kitchen operations; understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
