Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

As a key team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen operations run efficiently and effectively.

We are looking for an experienced individual to assist our chefs with food preparation and handling tasks, ensuring efficiency in the kitchen. You will maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, adhere to strict Health & Safety regulations, and ensure that all food prepared meets our high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and clean dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  • Assist chefs with general food preparation and handling tasks, ensuring efficiency in the kitchen.
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and Health & Safety regulations within the kitchen.
  • Ensure that all food prepared meets our high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Support the kitchen team with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock is properly rotated and stored.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand in a busy kitchen environment is essential.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask in a dynamic setting.
  • Current RSA and RCG certifications, or a willingness to obtain these before starting.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
