As an integral member of the risk management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of operational risks across the organization.
The risk management group is responsible for overseeing all material risks through review, challenge, oversight, and reporting. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with senior business executives to ensure robust operational risk practices, providing thought leadership and practical advice on operational risk management, and delivering education to enhance risk awareness.
You will review new business initiatives, identify and manage key operational risks, and ensure stakeholder engagement in the approval process. A deep understanding of the business risk profile and processes is essential, as you will act as a catalyst for change where necessary, ensuring risk and control self-assessments are current and comprehensive.
Additionally, you will analyze incidents to ensure swift resolution, capture lessons learned, and share insights for improvement. Targeted projects or reviews addressing operational issues, developing extreme loss event scenarios for Operational Risk Capital calculations, and responding to stakeholder requests are also key responsibilities.
