The Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime of all equipment at our branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all plant and equipment is running efficiently and in safe working order.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Ensure that preventative maintenance is completed in line with the schedule and tracked in our CMMS system.
  • Machinery Downtime: Keep all machinery downtime to a minimum to support daily operations.
  • Team Management: Allocate work to each team member to ensure jobs are completed safely and timely.
  • Plant Assessments: Engage in regular plant assessments to identify efficiency improvements.
  • Upgrade and Installation Projects: Lead upgrade and installation projects in partnership with our regional engineering team.
  • Financial Management: Ensure financial management of work aligns with budgetary requirements.
  • Contractor Management: Manage contractors on site in line with our WHSMS and budget measures.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
  • WHS Management: Responsible for ensuring WHS Management / Housekeeping / 5S guidelines are followed.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications or trade qualified (mechanical or electrical) with relevant experience in management of plant maintenance & projects.
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in a similar position.
  • Relationship Management: Successful management of relationships with suppliers and research & development teams.
  • Safety Knowledge: Experience with leading and implementing corrective actions from safety risk assessments.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of AUS / NZ Standards for compliance in the production environment.
  • LEAN Manufacturing: Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Job Safety/Hazard Analysis: Experience in creating job safety/hazard analysis for upgrades and installations.
