About the Role
- Develop and manage contracts with logistics service providers, ensuring competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Create and maintain detailed cost models to support budgeting and financial planning.
- Monitor and manage surcharges imposed by logistics providers, negotiating terms and conditions to minimize impact on overall logistics costs.
- Research and implement industry best practices for logistics management, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing service quality.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and reporting of logistics service providers, tracking cost performance against budget and developing improvement plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics management, with a focus on rate and contract management.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in cost modelling and financial analysis.
