Our client, a leader in the Automated Warehousing sector, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to enhance their operations in Melbourne. This opportunity arises from the expansion of their team, focusing on delivering sophisticated solutions for high-value technology systems across Australia and New Zealand.
Position Overview
In this role, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for:
- Providing support to multiple customer locations.
- Delivering technical assistance during equipment failures, scheduled maintenance, and preventative measures.
- Managing and updating Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) tasks as per the established timelines.
- Ensuring that all maintenance and repair work adheres to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
Mandatory:
- Certification in Electrical or Mechanical Trade (reconnect/disconnect).
- Experience with industrial automation equipment.
- Proficiency in fault diagnosis for PLC and VSD systems.
- Knowledge of AS3000 Wiring regulations.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance software.
- Capability to perform under pressure while adhering to established protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Expertise in troubleshooting mechatronic systems.
- Commitment to customer service excellence.
- Valid Electrical License.
- Post Trade Certification in Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
- Experience with Automated Warehouse Systems, including Robotics, Conveyors, Lifts, Cranes, and Palletizers.

- Competitive base salary up to $120,000.
- Overtime compensation at rates up to 200%.
- Standard work hours from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend duties compensated with additional time off.
- On-call responsibilities for one week each month.
