Facilities and Building Upkeep Specialist

The role of Building and Facilities Maintenance Officer is a key position within the Property and Facilities team, responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of various council-owned properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out routine maintenance tasks on community facilities, public amenities, corporate buildings, depots, and other assets to ensure they are safe and functional.
- Conduct regular condition inspections to assist the asset management program.
- Essential: C Class Manual Driver's Licence, Current General Construction Induction card (White Card), Demonstrated experience in performing general building maintenance, Physical ability to carry out manual tasks and operate hand and power tools, Sound knowledge of safety practices and ability to follow safe work procedures.
- Desirable: Certificate III in Construction, General Building, Carpentry, or related trade, Efficient use of Microsoft Office suite programs, including mobile devices and software to manage work orders, First Aid Certificate.
This position requires a skilled and experienced individual who can effectively manage their time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
