Contract Management Expert

The role of a Contract Management Expert involves overseeing commercial and contractual aspects of allocated subcontracts for a project. This includes working closely with internal stakeholders to support tendering, negotiation, and the formation of assigned subcontracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial and contract matters on allocated subcontracts to ensure optimal earnings on the project.
  • Work collaboratively with internal management and stakeholders to review project budget and ensure adequate allocation to subcontracts.
  • Administer all subcontracts to optimize earnings on the project.
  • Assist in the preparation of claims and variations for adjustment of compensation and time under the head contract and assigned subcontracts.
  • Manage and resolve claims with subcontractors/suppliers in accordance with Contract Formation and Administration Operating Standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, law, construction management, or economics (CM&E) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in managing subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated experience as a contracts administrator or commercial/contracts advisor on building projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a desire to drive outcomes.
