Workplace Relations Specialist

We seek an experienced Workplace Relations Specialist to drive our industrial relations strategy across a highly diverse, blue-collar workforce. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist advice to management and stakeholders to support operational efficiencies and improvements.

The ideal candidate is a passionate and experienced professional with a background in complex, fast-paced environments such as industrial, mining, manufacturing, or transport/logistics sectors. You possess excellent communication skills, an investigative mindset, and the ability to consult on diverse dispute cases.

About the Role:
  • Drive our industrial relations strategy to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide expert workplace relations and policy advice to site managers and leadership teams.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Enterprise Agreements to drive operational efficiency and change implementation.

You are responsible for managing a high-volume caseload involving grievances, disputes, breaches, misconduct, and other workplace issues. You will also support and manage the end-to-end enterprise bargaining process, prepare submissions, and assist with advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals or courts.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Workplace/Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Business, or Law.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Workplace/Industrial Relations supporting blue-collar environments.
  • Proven experience conducting workplace investigations in accordance with legislation and policies.
  • Advanced understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and enterprise agreement negotiations.
  • Commercial acumen with respect to labour cost and productivity analysis.
