Job Description

The role of an Educator Outside School Hours Care is to provide fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school.

At our service, children have the opportunity to participate in various activities such as cooking, sport, music, art, dance and more.

Our programs are designed to align with the National Quality Framework 'My Time Our Place' and focus on providing a supportive environment that fosters social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth in children.

As an Educator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.

You will work closely with other staff members to ensure a seamless transition between activities and provide exceptional care to children at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement daily activities that promote learning and development in children
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents and colleagues
  • Monitor and report on child progress and develop strategies to support their growth

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children's Services or a related field
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • A Positive Notice Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
