Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage Demand Inputs: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts, taking into account market trends, customer behavior, and product lifecycle.
  2. System Health: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of our demand planning systems, including statistical forecast generation and data analysis.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with business unit account managers to gather market intelligence and drive business growth.
  4. Product Lifecycle Management: Accurately input new product information, manage product transitions, and ensure timely deletion of obsolete products.
  5. Customer Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with key customers to align assumptions and drive business outcomes.
  6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to the demand plan, including costed opportunities for S&OP input.
  7. Handover Process: Coordinate the handover process between S&OP and S&OE, ensuring seamless communication and data transfer.
  8. Demand Process Coordination: Oversee the S&OP demand process for the business unit, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of demand forecasts.
  9. Portfolio Management: Facilitate the portfolio management process, providing key outputs for decision-making and driving business growth.
  10. Budget Volume Build: Coordinate the budget volume build by business unit, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of demand forecasts.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the demand and overall supply chain process, resulting in improved business outcomes.
Key Objectives
  1. Delivery of Demand and Portfolio Processes: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of demand and portfolio processes within S&OP for the business unit.
  2. Forecast Accuracy: Achieve a weighted mean absolute percentage error (WMAPE) reduction of forecast overrides, lag3 YOY.
  3. Service Metrics: Meet service metrics as defined by the S&OP process, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  4. Working Capital: Reduce working capital (inventory) through stock reduction (SS) initiatives.
  5. Forecast Accuracy to Suppliers: Deliver accurate forecasts to suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
  6. Continuous Improvement Programs: Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance numerical metrics and drive business growth.
Key Selection Criteria
  1. Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and understanding of profit and loss (P&L) relationships.
  2. Demand Planning Experience: 3+ years of demand planning experience in Tier 1 or 2 companies.
  3. S&OP/IBP Experience: 3+ years of managing demand processes in an S&OP or IBP environment.
  4. Demand System Platforms: 3+ years of proficiency in demand system platforms.
  5. Customer Focus: Demonstrated customer focus and ability to drive business growth through customer collaboration.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated delivery of continuous improvement initiatives to improve demand outcomes.
  7. Product Portfolio Administration: Experience in product portfolio administration, including new product introduction, product transitions, and deletion.
  8. External and Internal Collaboration: Experience in external and internal collaboration, including stakeholder engagement and communication.
  9. Influencing Communication: Demonstrated strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholder groups.
  10. Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  11. Time Management: Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
