About the Role

This position reports to the Detailing Manager and is responsible for designing, modeling, and documenting reinforcing steel for major construction projects in Australia. The successful candidate will interact with customers and internal stakeholders to determine needs and ensure accurate supply of reinforcing steel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver accurate BIM models using Revit
  • Implement design changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle
  • Streamline workflows using BIM technology to improve project efficiency
  • Understand project objectives and advise on engineering solutions
  • Engage with clients and design engineers to achieve optimal outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a modeler or reinforcing steel detailer
  • Technical mindset with ability to read and understand technical drawings to create models
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Diploma, certificate, or degree in civil/structural engineering, drafting, architecture, or animation
  • Experience in modeling software such as Revit, TEKLA, Autocad, or similar
