Therapeutic Home Manager

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapeutic Home Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting and mentoring staff, and helping children and young people to develop essential life skills, stay engaged in education, and maintain meaningful connections with family, community, and support networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the home in line with relevant legislation, service standards and policies
  • Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting
  • Be a visible and supportive leader in the home, offering guidance and role modelling for your team
  • Oversee and implement therapeutic care plans to support the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Guide your team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques
  • Provide reflective supervision and mentoring to staff, fostering a strong, supportive team culture
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
  • Leadership experience in services supporting children and young people, such as out-of-home care and Intensive Therapeutic Care settings
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, complex health needs, or behaviours of concern
  • Willingness to undertake tasks relating to personal care
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, embedding therapeutic care practices
  • Current First Aid certification
  • A Current and Unrestricted driver's licence
