About the Role
At St Laurence's College, we are seeking a Senior Education Leader for Student Wellbeing to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to make a real difference in the lives of our students.
Job Summary
We are looking for a senior education leader who can implement effective strategies and programs that promote student wellbeing, pastoral care, and formation. The successful candidate will work closely with the Dean of Students to develop and lead initiatives that enhance the learning environment and support the academic and personal growth of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the overall direction of the Middle School and oversee the development of pastoral care and formation programs for students in Years 7-9.
- Lead the promotion and development of effective strategies and programs based on contemporary research about teaching and learning, school behavioral management, and student well-being issues.
- Collaborate with the Head of Senior School Students to form key roles within the Pastoral Leadership team and the Wellbeing and Engagement Teams.
- As a member of the College Leadership Team, ensure that the College's philosophy, aims, objectives, and Mission Statement are reflected in the role, and that financial resources are used effectively to support our mission.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Education or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in a Catholic school environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to child safety and wellbeing, with knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
