A challenging opportunity exists for a skilled electronic technician to join our team in the Explosive Ordnance (EO) field.

The Explosive Materiel Branch has a unique position available for an experienced individual to work on strategic Defence priorities. The role involves maintaining and certifying guided weapons by performing high-quality electronic technical work.

You will be trained to conduct maintenance, breakdown, repair, assembly, alignment, calibration, test, inspection, technical certification, test equipment and safety of guided weapon technical maintenance tasks. You will also use technical data, publications or documentation to perform technical activities within an explosive ordnance field.

This role is crucial to delivering the latest guided weapons for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). As an Australian Public Servant in Defence, you will gain experience and opportunities that are not available in any other organisation. An added benefit of employment with Defence is the 15.4% superannuation.

**About the Role**

The Explosive Materiel Branch acquires and sustains a broad range of explosive ordnance capabilities for the ADF. The branch currently manages 38 acquisition projects and sustains over 1000 munition types (including 35 types of complex guided weapons).

You will be working in the Navy Missile Maintenance team in Explosive Ordnance Maintenance Directorate. The maintenance team plays a significant role in the organisation and is responsible for the ongoing guided weapon maintenance in line with detailed regulations.
