About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preanalytical Team Leader to join our team at Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for coordinating the department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery, receipt, and processing of pathology specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the department and provide feedback to promote efficient and effective delivery, receipt, and processing of pathology specimens.
  • Supervise the team and ensure compliance with all procedures, integrating improvements where required.
  • Provide training to new staff, assist in ongoing competency, and provide feedback.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety policies to safeguard personal well-being and the safety of others in the workplace.
  • Uphold quality standards by adhering to the Corporate Quality System Procedures.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a diagnostic pathology laboratory.
  • Knowledge of the Gold Coast region is desirable.
  • Qualifications in Laboratory Techniques, Healthcare, or Science are desirable but not essential.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills and a strong team focus.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong Microsoft applications skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Commitment to high-quality work and customer service.
  • Self-motivated with a high attention to detail, ability to be flexible, and a willingness to display initiative.
