Technical Operations Engineer

We are seeking a Technical Operations Engineer with expertise in monitoring and building dashboards to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions that support the stability, observability, and customer experience of our digital platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background working in a DevOps/SRE capacity within large, complex environments, with strong experience working with Splunk/New Relic including building complex dashboards and troubleshooting. Additionally, they will possess a proven track record of supporting large, customer-facing platforms and understanding of ITIL practices including incident/problem/change processes combined with service management tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement technical solutions to support platform stability and observability
  • Build and develop dashboards in Splunk/New Relic to provide real-time insights into system performance
  • Monitor and respond to incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to customers
  • Collaborate with engineering squads to resolve integration issues and improve overall system efficiency
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications (i.e., Splunk/New Relic)
  • Solid background working in a DevOps/SRE capacity within large, complex environments
  • Strong experience working with Splunk/New Relic including building complex dashboards and troubleshooting
  • Proven experience supporting large, customer-facing platforms
  • Understanding of ITIL practices including incident/problem/change processes combined with service management tools
  • Good working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS), containerisation (Kubernetes/Docker), and API gateway tools
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a mindset for continuous improvement
