The Trade Controls Integration Specialist will play a vital role in safeguarding a world-class maritime, intelligence, surveillance and response aircraft in the P-8A Poseidon.

This niche role suits someone who has a background in Project Management, Contracts or Defence, and can demonstrate the ability to interpret complex policy and procedure and an interest in ensuring accuracy in that interpretation of policy.

The successful applicant will be heavily involved in delivering advanced capabilities and upgrades across various platforms, including:

  • Operational day-to-day execution and administration of trade control tasks
  • Management of trade control authorities once approved, including ongoing engagement to ensure they stay aligned to contracted statements of work
  • Logistical movement of goods and technology compliance with approved trade control authorities
  • Support training objectives for on-going education and awareness around trade controls
  • Conduct trade control compliance assessments and objective testing
  • Identify opportunities and implement best practices to increase overall awareness of trade compliance requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in either a Contracts, Legal or Defence background highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience to engage, influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders
  • Effective customer service, strong communication and influencing skills working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Process oriented with attention to detail
