About the Role

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the digital environment. This includes defining and embedding technical delivery practices across digital squads, including concepts such as Continuous Integration and Deployment, Automation, and self-recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the Solution Architecture team and Engineering Managers to provide DevOps capability around optimal technologies and infrastructure.
  • Ensure clear priorities and work on activities that will be most valuable for Firesoft People.
  • Autonomy to assist development teams in creating and maintaining a high-performing platform.
  • Understand and effectively manage dependencies and risks in the domain.
  • Demonstrate and embed best-practice system engineering skills and processes within the team.
  • Deliver and maintain solutions that are performant, secure, cost-effective, reliable, deployable, testable, and evolvable.
  • Ensure the DevOps team plays an active role in investigating and remediating technical issues across the platform.
  • Initiate continuous improvement for the way the technical platform is managed and maintained.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a DevOps engineer.
  • Experience leading teams or in consultancy.
  • Infrastructure as code and automated pipeline experience.
  • Extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale digital solutions.
  • Experience in consumer-facing digital environments.
  • Application Lifecycle Management experience.
  • Agile software delivery experience (Scrum).
