About the Job

The Clinical Nurse Consultant is responsible for providing leadership to our clinical services, complementing strategic direction, operational processes and quality management.

This role ensures that all care elements associated with relevant clinical standards are in place, evidence-based, and continually evaluated. The Clinical Nurse Consultant has specific responsibility for implementing dynamic harm reduction strategies for patients, focusing on clinical deterioration.

As an expert practitioner, this role links evidence and research to clinical practice, influencing models of care and ensuring best practice. It provides expert clinical care and advice to patients, healthcare professionals, and carers regarding best practices.

To be successful:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in the speciality field
  • At least 5 years full-time post-registration experience and at least 3 years' experience in the speciality field
  • Credentialed Diabetes Educator

Desirable Qualifications: Research experience, private health system experience
