About the RoleThe University of Sydney is seeking a skilled biostatistician to join our cross-disciplinary team. As a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor, you will collaborate with clinicians, statisticians, data scientists, and informaticians on competitively funded studies and develop innovative methodologies for clinical research.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality research in biostatistics and related fields, developing original and independent contributions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic, consumer/advocacy, industry, and professional organisations.
- Supervise and mentor students, as well as coordinate team activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD (or equivalent) in an academic field relevant to the discipline.
- A developing research profile with a focus on biostatistics and related fields.
- Experience with statistical software, including R, Stan, and JAGS.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
