Electrical Systems Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Technician to join our team. As an electrical systems technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in heavy vehicles.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in heavy vehicles
  • General auto electrical work on trucks and other vehicles
  • Workshop and field service work when required
  • Air conditioning repairs and service
  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting of workshop vehicles
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical systems
  • Installing and configuring electrical components
  • Troubleshooting and repairing faults in vehicle lighting systems
  • Installing and repairing communication and entertainment systems
  • Conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Maintaining accurate records of work carried out and parts used

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Trade Qualification: Be trade qualified as an Auto Electrician
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Have mechanical knowledge to assist in overall application of electrical works
  • Computer Skills: Have computer knowledge to apply software with electronic devices
