**Job Description:**

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Tindal RAAF Base in NT. As a key player in the Defence industry, we support the Australian Defence Force across 100 locations nationwide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment, diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment, project work as required, and supporting various sites in the region with occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
  • Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required
  • Support various sites in the region, with occasional requirement to travel to various sites throughout NT

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
  • Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
  • Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regarded
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
