Senior Emergency Medicine Physician

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Canterbury Hospital. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supervising junior staff, and contributing to administrative and teaching responsibilities.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have expertise in Emergency Medicine services, with experience in complex clinical environments. They will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in Emergency Medicine, with Fellowship of Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or equivalent overseas specialist qualification;
  • Excellent clinical skills across the entire range of emergency medicine casemix, including trauma and paediatrics;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Commitment to ongoing education and research in Emergency Medicine;
  • At least three years' post-graduate experience in public hospital service.
