Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Collection Coordinator to join our passionate and engaged team in the North Region for a 12-month contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the operations of pathology collection, including rostering, payroll, training, and competency. You will also provide strong leadership to a highly engaged collection team and ensure WHS, quality, and NATA compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operations of pathology collection, including rostering, payroll, training, and competency
  • Organise shift allocations to ensure adequate rostering to the requirements of the region
  • Provide strong and effective leadership to a highly engaged collection team
  • Manage operational costs, including labour and consumables
  • Ensure WHS, quality, and NATA compliance
  • Manage and oversee all people matters, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, performance, retention, and development
  • Ensure best practice service standards are met in all locations
About You
  • Hold a Certificate III in Pathology Collection and HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
  • Demonstrated experience in all facets of Phlebotomy and the ability to supervise staff
  • Strong people management skills
  • Deliver training with positive outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills and intermediate computer experience
  • A high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong customer focus and accuracy with attention to detail
  • A high rate of accuracy and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A current full (unrestricted) driver licence is required
