
Aboriginal Child Welfare Specialist

We are seeking dedicated professionals to work as Aboriginal Child Welfare Specialists across various locations in Western NSW District.
- This is a challenging yet rewarding role, requiring sensitivity and respect when working with families and individuals.
- You will be part of a collaborative team that works closely with other agencies to develop effective solutions to complex problems.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. A relevant qualification or experience working with vulnerable children and families is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide high-quality services to families and children, focusing on safety and well-being.
- To work collaboratively with other agencies to identify and address risks and concerns.
- To develop and implement safety plans and conduct risk assessments.
- To manage cases and situations, including those involving high-risk clients and their families.
- To participate in court processes, including preparing documents and attending court hearings.
- A relevant diploma or degree qualification, or at least two years' experience working with vulnerable children and families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Valid driver's license and paediatric first aid certification.
- Documented verification of Aboriginality.

This is an Identified role, open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons. A talent pool may be created for future ongoing and temporary roles and is valid for a period of up to 18 months.
